The Fulton Lions Club’s annual Duck Derby race will begin at approximately 3 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 1 on the Oswego River behind the Tavern on the Lock Restaurant in Fulton (Corner of Oneida and S. First St.). The event runs from Noon to 5 p.m.
The multi-colored plastic ducks will be dropped in the starting area next to the Canalview Marina. From there, they’ll “dash” to the finish line.
“People may purchase duck tickets before the race and enjoy the live music, food and beverages throughout the afternoon,” said Steve Chirello, club president. As many as 3,000 spectators have attended the Fulton Lions’ Duck Derby and all proceeds benefit the Fulton community through Lions Club programs.
