Fulton Noon Rotary Learns About Foster Parenting

Joshua Chipkin from Oswego County Department of Social Services and Brittney Jerred, Rotary President

FULTON – The Fulton Noon Rotary Club recently welcomed Joshua Chipkin, Caseworker for Oswego County Family Service. Joshua talked about the benefits of becoming a foster parent; both for the child, the community and the foster parent. He said that every day children are removed from their families due to substance abuse, mental health issues or other safety problems.

Foster Care is a service which provides a family experience in an approved household for children who temporarily cannot remain in their own homes. Foster parents receive training to help develop foster parenting skills.
