Fundamentals of Supervision: Focus on Public Sector & Non-Profit Organizations

This intensive 20-hour course is designed for those individuals who have recently been promoted to a supervisory position as well as for those who aspire to such a position. The program will be conducted combining lecture, discussion, individual and group exercises, films, and cases. Topics include the characteristics of an effective leader, communication skills, the grapevine and office politics, problem solving and decision making, coaching, and team building. Tom Paczkowski instructs. Classes are held at the Auburn Campus, 197 Franklin St., Auburn. Tuition is $249 and includes all materials. BIC 027-040, (7) Mondays/Wednesdays, September 15 – October 8 (no class Sept. 17), 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Registration deadline is September 2.
