G & C Foods Helps OCO’s Retro Bowl Fight Hunger

FULTON, NY – Oswego County Opportunities, Inc., has received a $5,000 donation from G & C Foods in support of the agency’s annual bowling tournament fundraiser, according to Diane Cooper-Currier, executive director at OCO.

“We’re proud to announce that G & C Foods is a major event sponsor for our 2014 OCO Retro Bowl,” Cooper-Currier said.

The company will be sending several teams of bowlers to participate in the April 5 fundraiser at Lakeview Lanes in Fulton.

“We greatly appreciate G & C Food’s generous support of this major fund raiser for OCO,” said Cooper-Currier.

OCO chose the ‘Retro Bowl’ theme as the agency will be celebrating highlights from its history during each decade since its establishment in 1966.

OCO holds the fundraiser annually to help support its many human services programs.

The proceeds from this year’s ‘Retro Bowl’ event will be used to assist OCO in its efforts to combat hunger in Oswego County.

“As an anti-poverty agency OCO ‘s mission is to fight poverty in many forms. Virtually all of our programs address the issue of hunger at some level.  Our ‘Retro Bowl’ fundraiser will allow us to build financial resources that help us fight hunger now and in the future,” said Cooper-Currier.

The OCO Retro Bowl takes place from noon – 6 p.m.

Registration is $100 per team (five bowlers).

Choice of flights is available on a first come, first served basis: noon – 2:30 p.m. or 3 – 5:30 p.m.

Businesses and individuals are invited to donate door prizes for the raffles and silent auction, and major sponsors are being solicited as well.
