OSWEGO, NY – The Central New York Ghost Hunters, led by Stacy Jones “Ghost Cop†of A & E’s “A Haunting,†will conduct a program on recent paranormal investigations at Fort Ontario State Historic Site on Oct. 25 at 2 p.m. at American Legion Post 268 in Oswego.
Tickets cost $10 and can be obtained by calling Caroline Lamie at (315) 592-2397, or Roberta at (315) 343-4711.
Any tickets not sold before the program will be available at the door; seating is limited to 200 persons.
Proceeds from the “Reveal†will go towards restoration and programming at the fort by the Friends of Fort Ontario.
Considered by experts to be one of the most haunted locations in the United States, Fort Ontario was the site of two battles during the French and Indian War (1754-63) and one during the War of 1812 (1812-14).
Rebuilt for the fourth time between 1839 and 1845, the historic fort was garrisoned by the regular army until 1944, and, from 1944 – 1946 it served as the only refugee camp in the United States for victims of the Nazi Holocaust in Europe.
Refreshments will be offered for sale by the American Legion.
American Legion Post 268 is located at 69 W. Bridge Street (Route 104W) in the city of Oswego.
