GRANBY – A special group of sixth grade students at Granby Elementary School want to ensure their peers are safe in school.

That is why they volunteered to participate in the AAA School Safety Patrol at Granby throughout the 2016-17 school year.
The members have proven to be outstanding members of the school community and are ready to take on the responsibility of assisting other students and staff members to make Granby Elementary a safe and enjoyable place.
Safety patrol students are committed to arriving at school early to monitor the hallways, assisting students getting off buses and ensuring that all exits are closed and locked to secure the building.
After school, they are stationed at posts to help their peers get to the correct buses safely and alert staff members of any potentially dangerous situation.
The 2016-17 safety patrol members are: Riley Kempston, Alex Davis, Riley Lunn, Zack Barker, Sam Kimball, Carter VanBuren, Connor Nugent, Ashley Garbutt, Sutter Lewin and Elle Stafford.
