Gratitude Breakfast At Granby Elementary

GRANBY, NY – The smell of cinnamon and maple syrup filled the art room of Granby Elementary recently as the school held a Gratitude Breakfast for students.

In keeping with the seasonal notion of giving thanks, teachers were asked to pick two students from each class who have been especially grateful to invite to this special celebration.

Students arrived one-by one with their invitations, given to them by their teachers, to enjoy the buffet of delectable breakfast treats including French toast sticks, eggs, fruit cocktail and an assortment of juices.

Tracy Sereno serves up a big helping of adoration to go with the rest of Granby kindergarten student Kelsey Caza’s yummy breakfast, which was served during the Gratitude Breakfast held recently at Granby Elementary. Each teacher selected three especially grateful students from each class to participate in the breakfast festivities.

After helping to serve students their breakfast, Granby Elementary Principal Heather Perry mingled among the hungry bunch to congratulate them on being selected to attend the breakfast and how important it is be grateful every day.

This event is one of several planned throughout the school year to celebrate good student behavior and to further support the philosophy adopted by the Fulton City School District.

Students at Granby Elementary School are expected to uphold positive behavior virtues like being respectful, responsible, safe, and ready to learn.
