FULTON – Guiding Eyes For The Blind made a presentation at the September Fulton Lions Club meeting. GEFB provides guide dogs to people with vision loss to give those individuals greater independence. Fulton Lions Club President David Guyer thanks Mary Oonk, (right) GEFB co-region coordinator for the CNY Region; and Jackie Denson of Fulton, who has been a GEFB puppy raiser for 10 years. Oonk is also a puppy raiser and she brought Ecru, a nine-month-old Labrador Retriever, who is the eighth puppy she’s trained over the past 11 years. The Fulton Lions Club made a donation GEFB at the meeting and has been a longtime supporter of the organization. The Fulton Lions Club, also known for its Lions Loot Sweepstakes, Lions Mane Event Comedy Night, and annual Duck Derby, provides financial assistance for those in need of eyeglasses, eye exams, and hearing aids to residents in the Greater Fulton area.
