Hannibal American Legion Aids Student and her Family

HANNIBAL, NY – Hannah Crego 11, from Sterling, is a student of Fairley School in Hannibal.

She has a rare genetic disorder (cockayna syndrome).

Pictured at left, Jennifer and Jason Crego (parents) with Louie Gilbert Commander of Hannibal American Legion. They are receiving a check from the Legion to help with expenses to assist the family with their trip to California in July to the cockayna syndrome convention, retreat.

Doctors from all over the country will be at the convention at San Diego.

There are only 200-300 worldwide that  have this rare disorder.

Hannah lives with this disorder that is characterized by poor growth, premature aging, sensitive to  sunlight, moderate to profound developmental and neurological delays and shortened lifespan.

She touches everyone’s heart she meets.

Hannah is the most popular girl in her school.
