JCB Juniors Garner Over $1.3 Million In Scholarships

PHOENIX, NY – Although post-secondary education experiences are still a year away for John C. Birdlebough High School juniors, some recently got a jumpstart — and a financial boost — on their future thanks to significant scholarships.

Thirty JCB juniors were the recipients of more than $1.3 million in funding from various colleges and universities if the student chooses to attend that particular institution after high school graduation. The scholarship recipients had to meet several criteria, including being among the top of the junior class with strong GPAs. These members of the junior class also exhibited values of integrity, academic excellence, diversity and social responsibility, and havedemonstrated outstanding school and community leadership.

“These hard-working students deserve all the recognition,” JCB High School Principal Thomas Bailer said. “We couldn’t be prouder of these young leaders and what they do for our community.”
