Key Bank “Makes A Difference” at Head Start Pre-K

On Tuesday May 24th, five employees from Key Bank in Oswego left their offices at noon, traded their work attire for jeans and a company shirt, and headed to Oswego County Head Start Pre-K. These volunteers spent their afternoon mulching, gardening, and spreading stone at the program’s Oswego Center.

The employees were participants in Key Banks “Neighbors Make The Difference”. This year marks the 21st anniversary of this project. In Central New York, 350 Key Bank employees took part in the event, assisting 51 area groups

“We appreciate Key Bank’s commitment to the community and the help they provided at our Head Start Pre-K center,” said Beth Kazel, Director of Education Services for OCO’s Head Start program.

Head Start is a pre-k program for 3- and 4-year-old children from low-income families. In Oswego County the program enrolls 248 children annually with 8 locations throughout the county.
