Famous political figures, inventors, musicians and athletes roamed the cafeteria at Lanigan Elementary School on Wednesday afternoon as history came to life.

The school’s annual living history museum gave fifth graders a chance to research a famous person from history, create a presentation about the historical figure and dress the part.
Everyone from Betsy Ross to Patriots’ quarterback Tom Brady were represented as students in all grade levels and parents explored the museum.
“I always thought she was one of history’s greatest women,” said fifth grader Chloe Devendorf as she spoke about why she selected Sacagawea for her project. “She did what people back then thought women couldn’t do and I think that is really cool.”
Other historical figures on hand included John F. Kennedy and his wife, Jackie, Abraham Lincoln, Albert Einstein, Sam Adams and Coco Chanel, to name a few.
