OSWEGO COUNTY – Oswego County Workforce New York (OCWNY) welcomes potential job seekers to come out and learn about the Oswego Build program!

Informational meetings run from noon to 1:30 p.m. or 4:30 to 6 p.m. every Wednesday, now through Dec. 10, at the OCWNY Career Center, 200 N. Second St., Fulton (across from Mimi’s Drive-In).

Those interested in learning more must register to attend a meeting by calling OCWNY at 315-591-9000.

Oswego Build is a 170-hour paid training program that helps participants prepare for an apprenticeship in a local trade union.

Spearheaded by CenterState CEO, Oswego Build is part of a regional initiative to expand employment opportunities in Central New York trades industries and help local communities prepare for Micron and other related projects. It is modeled after Syracuse Build, which has experienced success in preparing residents for various trades work.

The next semester is scheduled for Jan. 12 through Apr. 14, 2026. Classes will run from 4-8 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

For details, contact Oswego Build Program Manager Dan Petty at 315-591-9069 or [email protected].
