Local McDonald’s Restaurant Managers Honored With Prestigious National Award

SYRACUSE, NY – Central and Northern New York is home to some of the nation’s top McDonald’s restaurant managers.

Eleven winners recently were awarded the coveted McDonald’s Outstanding Manager Award.

This award recognizes the top 10% of McDonald’s restaurant managers in the U.S. who excel in operational excellence, delivering on the people promise, and building the business.

The McDonald’s Owner Operators Association of Central New York & Northern Pennsylvania, consists of 102 restaurants and these eleven winners were from stores within this co-op. Not only are the winners representative of the top 10% of the managers in the U.S., but the top 10% of their local markets as well.

The eleven winners are as follows:

• Jodie Bobbett, from Fulton, NY
• Chelsea Galek, from Fayetteville, NY
• Erin Knowles, from Corning, NY
• Colleen McLaughlin, from Liverpool, NY
• Sandra Price, from West Windsor, NY
• David Schill, from Clay, NY
• Jaclyn Sweeney, from Cortland, NY
• Kristen Turner, from Clinton, NY
• Derrick Waterbury, from Warners, NY
• Terry Bango Jr., from Potsdam, NY
• Evelyn (Melissa) Santos from Watertown, NY

“This year’s winners represent the best of the best,” said Paul Ross, president of the McDonald’s Owner/Operators association of Central New York and Northern Pennsylvania. “They are exemplary managers who lead by example and deliver outstanding customer service every day.”

McDonald’s Owner/Operators and regional staff nominate restaurant managers for the Outstanding Manager Award to recognize hard work, dedication and commitment to McDonald’s. Representatives from McDonald’s operations, training and human resources departments select the winners.
