Local Veteran Supports Memorial Day Salute

FULTON –  The Fulton Memorial Day Salute Committee has announced that  Ryan Taylor, a member of the Memorial Day Salute Committee and a combat veteran, is a sponsor of this year’s event.  The salute will take place on Friday, May 22 and Saturday, May 23, at the Fulton Community Center.  Taylor, a U.S. Army Veteran, served multiple tours of duty in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom.

The theme for this year’s Memorial Day Salute is “Together We Remember – 250 Years of Service & Sacrifice.”  The event will feature the traditional Saturday morning parade, rides, vendors, food trucks, entertainment, 5k run, Friday night Watchfire, youth basketball tournament  and fireworks on Saturday night to close out the celebration.  For further information on the event, go to its Facebook page under “Fulton Memorial Day Salute”.
