‘Magic’ Conjures Up Fun In Minetto

MINETTO, NY – In conjunction with Canal Splash on Aug. 8, Magic in Minetto had families enjoying events for all.

Highlights of Magic were the Canoe/Kayak Race and Pace, Minetto volunteer Fire Department’s car extrication demonstration, and the historical photo essay of the Oswego Canal.

A special treat was the Children’s Museum of Oswego with its hands-on sensory, interactive, activities for children.

Music was provided by the Incredible Vin Man.

Free craft making, face painting and Stewart’s ice cream for children was a big hit.

A variety of artistic  crafts  were available to  admire and purchase.

Magic was made possible in part by a grant from the Erie Canalway Heritage Corridor.

“A big thank you goes to all the volunteers that helped make Magic in Minetto a Magic Day on Land and Water,” said Dick Drosse, one of the organizers.
