A great concert is then scheduled for 7 p.m. in the park, by the “New Horizons Band,” a 35-piece band with Dave Goodness as director.

Saturday’s events start at 10 a.m.

Events include music, children’s face painting and historical society displays.

A fun recreational canoe/kayak race is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.

The race has a separate family adult/child entry category.

Visitors will be able to tour the 65′ Bio-diesel tug boat “Honey.”

It is intended as a safety teaching aid for children, but adults also will enjoy and learn safety information.

The Country Cruisers will be present with its antique and classic cars for all to look at and reminisce.

Sunday is an open day where you can enjoy the park and its plantings and flowers, have a picnic or launch your canoe or kayak.
