Masons Hold Community, Masonic Award Luncheon

OSWEGO, NY – On May 8, Lake City 127 Free and Accepted Masons held a community and Masonic awards luncheon to honor community programs that serve youth, and cited long-time masons.

A chicken and biscuits luncheon was served by the Lake City Victoria Eastern Star no. 205.

Community youth organizations were the St. Paul’s Leprechaun Youth Basketball League.

Represents Bob Sugar and Mike Pisa told the Masons that at their group they teach basic basketball skills to boys and 120 girls.

The organization has existed since 1943.

A second group honored was the Oswego Children’s Theater.

Wayne and Kelly Mosher started the group in 2002 to give young people an opportunity to become involved in theater.

The group put on a brief version of the play “Juvie.”

The Masons gave both groups a certificate and a check to support their programs.

Several long-time members of the Lodge were also honored.

W. Reginald S. Butler has been a member of Lake City for 60 years, Jack T. Kio has been a member for 50 years and Edwin B. Miller has been in the lodge for 40 years.
