Mexico Lodge Helps Fort Ontario

Brothers from Mexico Lodge #136 lent a hand to Fort Ontario Saturday July 30th, 2011 during the annual Harborfest celebration. The Lodge Bothers helped with cooking and serving the guests of the Fort who were there to enjoy the historic grounds, tours, exhibits, and fireworks that evening. All proceeds from the event went directly back into Fort Ontario.

Lodge Master Bob Taylor had the following comment: “Fort Ontario is a national landmark in our community and it was a pleasure and honor for our brothers to be able to help out volunteering our time and friendship!”

Paul Lear, Site Manager for the Fort was very pleased to have the extra help. “I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the Mexico Lodge Freemasons for their help with food concessions at Fort Ontario State Historic Site during Harborfest 2011. The Friends and staff are very grateful for the efforts of the Mason’s in raising money for programming, restoration, and other activities which benefit and improve visitor services at the fort”
