MEXICO – Mexico Middle School families flocked to the recent open house to experience their child’s fifth, sixth, seventh or eighth grade daily routines.

Principal Kim Holliday greeted attendees as they arrived before students joined their parents, guardians and siblings as they showcased completed assignments and projects they worked on since the beginning of the 2017-2018 school year, viewed classroom spaces and interacted with teachers.
Some parents were even asked to do a quiz about their child’s school experience.
The event also served as an opportunity for parent-teacher conference sign-ups, families to receive school and community information and a sit-down peach crisp desert was served to all in the cafeteria.
The real treat came at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium when guests were invited to participate in a videoconference to learn all about the Great Barrier Reef.
