Michaud Residential Health Services Human Resources Director Debbie Burnell was finally apprehended and did her time in jail – but all for a good cause.

Burnell was a part of the recent Muscular Dystrophy Association Lockup fundraiser, held at the American Foundry in Oswego. Burnell and others raised funds to benefit the organization by agreeing to be “held without bail” until able to raise funds to benefit the MDA.

Fortunately for Burnell, she organized two fundraising events – “Make An Ice Cream Sundae” and a “Denim Day” for staff at Michaud, and was able to secure over $350 dollars on behalf of the MDA. As a result, the “lock-up” sentence was light, and she was released for good behavior!
