NEW HAVEN, NY – Community Alliance Church, 4175 State Route 104, recently enjoyed a Hawaiian Luau during its weekly AWANA (Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed) meeting.

This past September, Community Alliance joined the more than 12,000 churches providing AWANA to the youth in their community.

Community Alliance is currently running the Cubbies (kindergarten – second grade) and Truth and Training (third – sixth grades) group each Sunday from 5:30 – 7 p.m.

Each week there is a different theme to inspire and motivate both the children and adult servants alike.

Time is spent learning different aspects of the Bible and how the Bible pertains to our lives today, as much as it did when it was originally written.

The clubbers (kids) and servants (adults) are hiding God’s Word in their hearts and learning to work together at different tasks during games.

AWANA is a lot of fun! New friends and clubbers are always welcome!

It isn’t too late to join the fun – if you are interested in visiting our AWANA you can just stop in or contact Pastor Rick Sheets at 963-1467 or Pat Prosser, AWANA commander,  at [email protected] or Lisa Buske, [email protected], secretary, for more information.
