OCO Summer Food Service Program Providing Free Meals For Oswego County Children

FULTON, NY – Trinity Engle, Program Services Coordinator for Oswego County Opportunities, Inc. (OCO) has announced that OCO is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Funded through the New York State Education Department, the Summer Food Service Program provides free meals to all children 18 years and under.

Meals will be available at the following sites and times:

Taft Bay Park, 851 St. Route 49 Bernhards Bay – lunch – 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. –     6/29 to 8/18.

Palermo Recreation, 1779 Co Rt 45 Palermo – breakfast and lunch 9 to 10 a.m. and noon to 2 p.m. – 7/5 to 8/12.

West Monroe Park, 2 Depot Road, West Monroe – lunch – 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. – 7/11 to 8/15.

Fulton Alliance Church, 1044 St Rt 48, Fulton – breakfast and lunch – 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. and noon to 2 p.m. –  7/11-7/15.

Pulaski High School, US Route 11, Pulaski – breakfast and lunch – 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. and noon to 1:30 p.m.- 7/5 to 8/12.

Fulton CYO, 365 W. First St., Fulton – lunch –    11 a.m. to 1 p.m. – 7/5 to 8/12.

Mexico BOCES, 179 County Route 64, Mexico – breakfast and lunch – 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. and 1 to 2:30 p.m. – 7/6 to 8/16.

Granby Elementary School, 400 W. Seventh St., North, Fulton – breakfast and lunch – 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. to noon – 7/6 to 8/16.

Cleveland Park, 65 North St., Cleveland    – lunch – 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. – 7/6 to 8/13.

Fulton YMCA, 715 W. Broadway, Fulton – breakfast and lunch – 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.- 6/27 to 9/2.

G Ray Bodley School, 6 William Gillard Drive, Fulton – breakfast and lunch – 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. – 7/5 to 8/16.

“We are happy to be able to offer the Summer Food Service Program.  I encourage families to participate in the program and remember that even though school’s out, meals are still in,” said Engle.

Acceptance and participation requirements for the program and all activities are the same for all regardless of race, color, national origin, gender, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.   1. We sent our children to the G Ray Bodley School, 6 William Gillard Drive, Fulton for breakfast today and they were turned away, and told it’s only for children in the summer school program.
