Submitted by Oswego CountyThe Oswego County Legislature’s Public Safety and Emergency Services Committee recently presented a certificate of recognition to Chris LaFlair, a 2008 graduate of Paul V. Moore High School. LaFlair is an Eagle Scout who received American Red Cross certification in CPR as a Boy Scouts of America certified lifeguard. Aided by friends and paramedics, LaFlair used this training to help save the life of a friend and college roommate at SUNY Brockport when he collapsed in November 2009. The friend has since made a full recovery and LaFlair strongly urges everyone to become CPR-certified. Pictured from left are John Martino, District 6; Amy Tresidder, District 16; Fred Beardsley, District 9; LaFlair; Committee Chairwoman Linda Lockwood, District 11; Morris Sorbello, District 23; Mary Flett, District 17; and Margaret Kastler, District 1.
