Oswego County Legislature Honors Law Enforcement

OSWEGO  – The Oswego County Legislature’s Public Safety Committee presented a proclamation to the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office recognizing May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and May 11 through 16 as National Police Week. Peace Officers Memorial Day honors the law enforcement officers who have given their lives in the line of duty, while National Police Week recognizes the vital role officers play in protecting communities and upholding the rights and freedoms of all citizens. Students from Oswego County school districts were on hand for the proclamation as part of Government Day activities.
