Oswego Fifth Graders Celebrate Culture

OSWEGO, NY – Sol y Canto performed for the fifth graders from all  Oswego elementary schools to support social studies curriculum that includes Latin America’s geography and culture.

The group from Boston specializes in countless forms of Latin music from countries from Cuba to Mexico to Peru.

They have toured throughout the country and the world.

Friday’s performance included songwriter, guitarist and vocalist Brian Amador, vocalist and percussionist Rosi Amador and saxophonist Tim Mayer.

Sol y Canto also performed at SUNY’s Waterman Theatre Saturday night.
