Oswego First United Methodist Church Looks For Administrative Assistant

OSWEGO – The Oswego First United Methodist Church, located at 7111 State Route 104W is looking for an administrative assistant.

The church administrative assistant performs secretarial as well as administrative tasks, under the general day-to-day supervision of the pastor. This position directs the physical operations of the church office and plays an important role in communication and coordination of church activities.

Qualifications:
• Have a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and a strong desire to serve within a church.
• Be familiar with copier, e-mail and internet & Apple and Windows computer.
• Strong computer skills are imperative (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Drive) & willingness to learn other computer programs as deemed necessary such as ProPresenter.
• Possess strong organizational skills.

Some responsibilities include:
• Work with ProPresenter to set up slides for Sunday service.
• Answer phones and greet visitors.
• Keep church records and files up to date.
• Prepare monthly newsletter (“The Voice”), for publication and distribution.
• Organize and maintain church website and social media sites.
• Other responsibilities will be discussed at interview.

The pay rate for this position will be based upon experience. This position shall be a 5 day-a-week position (Monday – Friday), 20 hours per week, 4 hours per day. Office hours are 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
