Oswego Music Scholar to Perform at Wintergreen Summer Music Festival

Brandon Gianetto from Oswego, New York and a viola student at The State University of New York – Purchase, will be part of the Rodes Farm String Quartet at the 2011 Wintergreen Summer Music Academy at Wintergreen Resort in Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains.

Each year, 40 extremely talented young musicians are selected to attend the prestigious Wintergreen Summer Music Academy. This year, they come from 18 different states in order to study with the musicians and guest artists of the Wintergreen Summer Music Festival. Many of the Academy performances are free and open to the public, including the popular “Music in Unusual Places” concerts at various locations both indoors and outside at beautiful mountain overlooks. 1. Thanks for sharing this. Although I don’t know Brandon, it’s nice to hear ‘where are they now,’ stories.

I wonder what other Oswego students are up to now. Any other parents willing to share!
