OSWEGO – At its’ May 5 meeting the Oswego Rotary Club honored Dr. Richard Tesoriero as a Paul Harris Fellow for his generous contributions to the Rotary Foundation. Dr. Tesoriero has been an active club member for 42 years and served as President five years ago. Club President Sabine Ingerson presented him with his “7+ Paul Harris Fellow” pin which recognizes his continuing and generous gifts to Rotary International.
The Rotary Foundation supports projects that address Rotary’s areas of focus. These include peace building and conflict resolution, disease prevention and treatment, water sanitation and hygiene, maternal and childcare, environment, basic education and literacy, and community economic development. Paul Harris Fellows, in a very tangible way, provide steppingstones to a healthier and more harmonious world.
By his service to this community and support to the worldwide work of Rotary, Dr. Tesoriero personifies Rotary’s motto of “Service above Self.”
