OSWEGO – John and Howard Hall were guests of Oswego Rotary recently.

John was born and raised in Oswego and now lives in the Onondaga Hill area.
He graduated from Oswego Catholic High School, Syracuse University and the University of Phoenix.
The younger Mr. Hall was a commissioned officer in the United States Army from 1976-1981 and a major in the US Army Reserve for 23 years and is involved with Honor Flight Syracuse, is the Speaker Bureau Committee Chair and serves on the Honor Flight Syracuse Board of Directors.
Howard Hall, John’s father, was born in 1920 and has lived in Oswego all of his life. He served in the 32nd Infantry Division World War II – Pacific Theater.
Howard is a very young 96 years old.
The 32nd Division was the first US Division to fight an offensive action against the Japanese in the Southwest Pacific. The Division fought in 6 major engagements in 4 campaigns involving 654 days of combat, more than any other American Division during World War II.
Howard was an Honor Flight participant on Mission 2 out of Syracuse.
We were honored with Howard’s attendance at our meeting and enjoyed all of the memorabilia brought for us to see.
Thank you for your service Howard Hall!
