PALERMO – The Mexico Academy and Central School District had a successful start to the 2017-18 school year, thanks in part to members of its dedicated transportation staff.

Palermo Elementary bus drivers and monitors received special recognition recently during the school’s annual bus driver appreciation breakfast.
Principal Margaret Scorzelli said the breakfast is a nice gesture to thank the drivers and monitors for helping to keep Palermo students safe on the bus all year long.

Breakfast pizza and drinks were provided, and MACS Superintendent Sean Bruno delivered donuts to also show his appreciation.
The event also served as an opportunity for Scorzelli, the drivers and monitors to review bus procedures that work well and identify any areas of improvement.
