FULTON, NY – At Oswego County Head Start Pre-K parent involvement is strongly encouraged.
Head Start recognizes that parents are a child’s first and primary teacher.

Each Head Start center has a team of staff who partner with families to provide parent involvement, education, nutrition, medical, dental, transition, mental health, and disability services.
Parents are encouraged to be involved in all areas of the program, from volunteering in the classroom and participating in Center Committees to being a member of Policy Council, the governing body of the program.
“Parents are a driving force at Head Start”, states Catherine Crocker, Family and Community Services Coordinator.
Enrollment for this coming fall begins in March.
Operated by Oswego County Opportunities, Head Start Pre-K enrolls 3- and 4-year-old children.
The program has centers throughout Oswego County, accepting enrollment of children from all nine school districts.
Head Start accepts applications for enrollment year-round.
