GRANBY, NY – Karen Murdoch and Erica Bertrand’s sixth grade students from Granby Elementary recently visited Pies Guys Pizzeria as part of their math lesson.
Classes were engaged in real world skills as part of the new common core state standards.
Students completed activities on proportions and percent pertaining to sales tax, unit rates, discounts and tips.
They ended the lesson by enjoying lunch.
