PJC Meeting to Discuss Online Radio

Oswego, NY – The Professional Journalists and Communicators of Oswego County (PJC) will look at one of the phenomenon of the new media revolution, online radio during its next meeting to be held September 22nd at 12 Noon at Bridie Manor in Oswego.

Fred Vigeant of WRVO-FM will serve as the host for the program, which will feature a special presentation by Kristen Brandt of Red House Art Radio focusing on online only radio. Located in the Armory Square district of Syracuse, Red House is a nonprofit cultural center whose mission is to transform lives through intimate and distinct experiences in the arts. Red House Art Radio explores audio as an art form and communication platform as it celebrates the cultural life of Syracuse and surrounding areas and seeks to connect local, national and international audiences though its unique programming schedule, eclectic mixes of modern and contemporary audio forms, and rich cultural exchanges.

“Our September meeting promises to be an enlightening look at yet another new media. I invite the public to join us and learn more about the emergence of online radio,” said PJC President, Michele Reed of SUNY Oswego.

The PJC’s September luncheon meeting is open to the public and will begin at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, September 22nd at Bridie Manor in Oswego. The cost to attend is $12 for members and $14 for non-members.
