PULASKI – Fifth graders from Pulaski’s Lura M. Sharp Elementary School participated in the annual Oswego County Soil and Water Conservation Field Day at Selkirk Shores State Park.

Coordinated by the Oswego County Soil and Water Department, volunteer experts presented in outdoor classroom stations on a variety of topics related to conservation efforts in our county.
The presentation stations included water protection and conservation, tree growth and identification, logging and tree harvesting, invasive species, and plant and animal life in Oswego County.

The hands-on activities were aimed to inform and educate students about the balance necessary to maintain our environmental resources in the county.
