OSWEGO, NY – The Rain Forest residents are coming to Oswego.
On Wednesday (Jan. 12), not only will students at the Frederick Leighton and Kingsford Park elementary schools enjoy a rare opportunity to see amazing animals in real life, but the community will also be provided with two programs that are perfect for the entire family.
The home and school associations are bringing “Live on Stage, The Rain Forest” to the Oswego schools.
In a time when there is a major concern for the survival of the rain forests and the inhabitants Understanding Wildlife Inc., a non-profit organization, is providing an incredible educational program.
Snakes, jungle cats, monkeys, beautiful parrots, macaws, cockatoos and other animals from rain forests around the world will be on display in this stage presentation.
Understanding Wildlife has conducted programs from coast to coast providing school children and their families with an exciting experience.
Animal trainers will not only show and explain various animals, but will also show how energy conservation and recycling can be in assisting in saving the beautiful specimens that will be on display.
The evening programs will be held at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the Powers Gymnasium in Frederick Leighton Elementary School.
Admission to the evening performances are $5 per person, but children three and under will be admitted free.
