Throughout the week, SADD club members focused on awareness of distracted driving, drugs, bullying, alcohol and suicide.

Each week day, club members were in the high school’s main foyer asking classmates and staff members to take a pledge connecting to the theme of the day.

For making the pledge, small goodies were given away and paper red ribbons with student and staff names on them were hung around the foyer.

Club members also had a little fun with students and staff as they asked them trivia questions on the prevention topics.

Club advisor Allison LaVerne said they are real issues students struggle with daily and the Mexico Academy and Central School District community stands ready to help any student work through those issues.
