The Oswego County Historical Society will host the annual Victorian Christmas Open House on December 3. The event is free and open to the public. Oswego native Cam Caruso will perform traditional Christmas music and other popular songs.
OSWEGO — The Oswego County Historical Society will host the annual Victorian Christmas Open House on Sunday, December 3 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Richardson-Bates House Museum at 135 E. Third St. in Oswego.
The event is free and open to the public.
“The historic Richardson-Bates House Museum will be fully decorated in the Victorian style,” said board trustee Justin White. “We welcome the community to join us in celebrating the holiday season in the spirit of an old-fashioned Christmas.”
A special live performance by local singer-songwriter Cam Caruso will take place between 2 – 4 p.m.
Caruso is an Oswego native and is known for performing a wide variety of music suitable for all ages. He will feature traditional Christmas music and other popular songs.
Many interesting items from the collection will be on display and the gift shop has various items perfect for last-minute Christmas presents.
Refreshments will also be served throughout the afternoon.
The Oswego County Historical Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the rich history of the county.
The society maintains and operates the Richardson-Bates House Museum, a historic landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The museum is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 1 – 5 p.m. and other days by appointment.
