During her visit to the Great New York State Fair, State Senator Patty Ritchie met with members of the American Farmland Trust, an organization founded in 1980 that works to protect farmland in the United States.

“The Great New York State Fair is an opportunity for all New Yorkers to see, first-hand, what the agriculture industry means for all of us,” said Senator Ritchie. “From protecting farmland to promoting Made in New York products, it’s important to meet directly with farmers to learn more about the issues they face and how we can help New York State farms continue to succeed.”
As chair of the Senate Agriculture Committee, Senator Ritchie secured a record $51 million in the recent state budget for dozens of programs aimed at strengthening family farming across the state.
Senator Ritchie encourages anyone with a question or concern on agricultural issues to contact her office at (315) 782-3418, or send her an email at [email protected].
