Rotarians Hear About Aurora

OSWEGO, NY – On Aug. 20, Adele DelSavio of Aurora spoke to the Oswego Sunrise Rotary about the services offered by her agency.

Aurora is the only Upstate New York area non-profit organization dedicated exclusively to promoting independence and opportunity for individuals who are experiencing a sensory loss.

To that end, a full range of rehabilitative and support services are provided by professional and competent staff members who are specialists in their field.

The following services are tailored to meet the unique needs, dignity and privacy of each individual: hard of hearing and deaf services, blind services.

Aurora has been serving individuals who are blind, visually impaired, deaf, hard of hearing since 1917.

They provide rehabilitation, training, education, employment, social support, professional sign language interpreting and low vision services.

Adele told of services that assist visually impaired persons to live in their homes.
