FULTON – At a recent Fulton Sunrise Rotary meeting, Rotarian Betty Maute with Rotarian LaVerne DeLand, spoke about The Rotary Foundation.

The Rotary Foundation supports the efforts of Rotary International to
achieve world understanding and peace through International humanitarian, educational and cultural exchange programs.
It is supported solely by voluntary contributions from Rotarians and friends of the foundation who share its vision of a better world.
In 1917, The Rotary Foundation, now celebrating its centennial, was started by Arch C. Klumph, as an endowment for Rotary “to do good in the world.”
From his initial contribution of $26.50, the foundation has grown to more than $1 billion and has one of the largest and most prestigious international fellowship programs in the world.
The Fulton Sunrise Rotary meets every Friday at 7 a.m. at Mimi’s.
