The Sandy Creek Varsity Cheerleaders were named Section III Class C Champions recently at South Jefferson, outscoring teams from Bishop Grimes, West Canada Valley and Herkimer to take the top spot.

Section III All Stars included Clarice Thibault, Deanna Rusz, Val Kampff and Cait Williams.

Coach Tanya VanOrnum was also named Coach of the Year for Section III.
