Stewart’s Shops Holiday Match – Field Trip for Discovery Learning Center

Discovery Learning Center, a program of Oswego County Opportunities, applied for a grant through Stewart’s Shops Holiday Match program this past winter to aid in the operations of their Summer Camp program.

The objective of the grant is to acquire funds to enhance the expanded Summer Camp program by adding additional weeks, which included field trips.

Stewart’s Shops Holiday Match program has been supporting local programs for the past 28 years.

Between Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, Stewart’s customers make donations and the company then matches that.

Discovery Learning Center received a check for $250, which enabled the center to provide bus transportation for a field trip to the planetarium located on the SUNY Oswego campus.

Discovery Learning Center children, parents and staff greatly appreciate the opportunity that Stewart’s Shops Holiday Match program provided for the center.
