Oswego, NY – Drazen Schrecengost, a member of Oswego’s Boy Scout Troop 888, is working with employees at the Sunrise Residential Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center for his Eagle Scout candidacy project.

Eagle Scout candidates must complete a project that benefits the lives of the people within the community. Schrecengost has decided to renovate a community courtyard for Sunrise.

The fifteen year-old, Schrecengost has worked closely with Greg Callen, Life Care Coordinator, of Sunrise Residential Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center on the project. Together, they have planned the components of Schrecengost’s flowerbed and a hardscaped circular garden.

“Sunrise Residential Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center has been a great partner to work with on the project,” said Schrecengost. “I am looking forward to the finished effort and the benefits it will provide the Sunrise residents and facility.”

According to Callen, the partnership with Schrecengost and the Oswego’s Boy Scout Troop 888, is something that Sunrise Residential Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center prides itself on.

“Our staff and this facility are greatly committed to the Oswego community, and organizations like the Boy Scouts of America,” said Callen. “The enthusiasm that I have seen with Drazen has been contagious, and I am happy that Sunrise could be a part of it.”
