Support For United Way Breakfast Appreciated

On behalf of the planning committee for this year’s United Way Harborfest Breakfast I extend my sincerest thanks to everyone who helped make it a tremendous success.  The support we received from both community members and the many visitors who were in town for Harborfest was tremendous.  Thanks to the generosity of those who attended we raised $3,400 to benefit the annual Stuff-A-Bus campaign.  The genuine concern that was expressed for our youth is a wonderful example of community helping community.

The success of the United Way Harborfest Breakfast would not have been possible without the generous support of Wiltsie Construction, Club House Tavern and Eagle Beverage. I want to recognize the efforts of the planning committee  who donated their time and talents and demonstrated their genuine concern for our community, United Way and our youth; Mary Lou and Butch Ferguson, Robert and Liz McGrath, Jim and Meg Schneider, John and Laurie Kelly and Patrick Barry.  I also want to acknowledge Terry Spath for volunteering to cook at the breakfast for the past six years.

The partnership formed between the United Way, Oswego County school districts, and area businesses and organizations to make the Stuff-A-Bus campaign possible is also to be commended.  The Stuff-A-Bus campaign to collect school supplies for distribution to Oswego County youth in need and the support it is receiving is inspirational.  It truly reflects the genuine care and concern that our community has for each other.

Sincerely,
Dan and Liz Dorsey, Committee Chairpersons
