Thank You For Supporting Blue Ribbon Ride

To The Editor:

On behalf of the hundreds of children and their families that we serve at the Child Advocacy Center of Oswego County, I would like to thank those caring businesses and individuals who helped to make our annual Blue Ribbon Ride such a success.

The event raised more than $7,500 to help support our efforts to provide vital services to children who have been sexually or physically abused.

From the beautiful weather for the ride to the wonderful food at Sweet Inspirations Drive-In it was a great day for all involved.

The success that we enjoyed would not be possible if not for support we received from the community and our event volunteers, including Gail Godici, Diane Emmerth, Judy Reitz, Laurie Tracy, Bonnie Farmer, Stephanie Hammond, Sara Buske, Sue Hoeffer, Paul LaBarge, Judy Austin, Melanie Proper, Kerry Deluchetto, and other caring individuals who donated their time and effort.

I would also like to extend a special thank you to the Oswego County Sheriff‘s Department (Lieutenant Dillon and Deputy Ed Babbitt) for escorting our riders; the Fulton Police Department (Officer Chris Jones) and volunteer fire departments from Mexico, Parish, and Altmar for their assistance with traffic control; Granby Fire Department for the use of their tent, and of course our major sponsors for our Blue Ribbon Ride: Cayuga Security & Investigation;  Mary Felasco, Esq.; Cheryl Martin-Schroeder, NP; Ferguson Beach Construction and Sweet Inspirations.

I am also very grateful for our dedicated staff and board of director’s members, Stacy Austin-Root, Jennifer Bray, Jennifer Glowacki, Jennifer Dievendorf, Diane Cooper-Currier, Francis Lanigan, Mary Margaret Pekow, Debbie Meyer and Gail Godici without whom none of this important work would be possible.

I am humbled by the community support we received and thankful for your recognition of the Child Advocacy Center and the work that we do to help Oswego County children who are victims of sexual or physical abuse.

Sincerely,
Karrie Damm, Executive Director
