Todd Announces Run For County Court Judge Seat

OSWEGO, NY – Assistant District Attorney Donald Todd announces his candidacy for election for Oswego County Court Judge.

Todd, a resident of the city of Oswego, feels he is the most qualified and experienced member of the legal community for the position.

He pledges to bring justice in a fair and equitable manner.

Todd’s extensive work within the criminal justice system gives him a unique view of what it takes to address and adjudicate the cases before him.

Todd sees this as a natural progression in his career, which spans more than 28 years of service to the people of Oswego County.

Todd currently serves as First Assistant District Attorney, having served in that capacity since Jan. 1, 2004.

He has been with the office of District Attorney since June 3, 1991.

During that time, Todd has prosecuted thousands of cases, including presenting hundreds of cases to the Grand Jury.

Todd has successfully prosecuted murderers, rapists, arsonists, drug dealers and other criminals, and has extensive criminal trial experience with an exemplary conviction record.

While an associate attorney in private practice, Todd represented the Department of Social Services, which gave him the opportunity to handle child abuse and neglect cases, paternity proceedings and support matters.

Todd also served many years as Law Guardian, safeguarding the rights of children in Oswego County.

Todd’s vast experience both in Criminal Courts and Family Court make him an excellent choice for Oswego County Court Judge, as this position will entail hearing cases in both County Court and Family Court.

Todd said that if he were to become County Court Judge, his focus would be on the litigants appearing before him, “If a Judge is doing his or her job right, nobody need notice he or she is there.”

As such, he promises to administer justice with “dignity and respect” for all parties involved.

Todd pledges to work hard between now and the election, meeting residents of Oswego County and formulating plans to address their concerns.

Todd states that being an Assistant District Attorney has given him great personal satisfaction, knowing that he has had a hand in keeping our county residents safe for nearly two decades.

Todd is looking forward to the election for County Court Judge and being able to continue on his tradition of public service, and is excited about the challenge this next step will give him.

Todd has been married to his wife, Terry, for more than 23 years, together raising two daughters and now enjoying two granddaughters. missing or outdated ad config

  1. remember what you told me after fulton lawnmower was broken into and a dirt bike was stoen and you returned it to the owner instead of back to fulton lawnmower , i had a mechanics lien on that item. you told me i’d have to take it to small claims court. maybe you should check into the law a lot further before you say that you’re best in the judicial line up in oswego county.
