OSWEGO, NY – The Oswego Tree Stewards are staring their Volunteer Oswego Tree Stewards work on the public city trees this weekend.
If people would like to learn how to take care of their trees or help us take care of the smaller, younger trees, which have been really stressed this hot summer, please join us.
Wear comfortable sneakers or boots, and dress so you won’t be scratched by the branches.
A hat is necessary for protection and glasses would be helpful.
We have lots of gloves and tools.
The schedule is as following:
10 a.m. – noon
Sept 15: East Schuyler at East 11th Street
Sept 22: Ellen Street at West Second
Sept 29: Washington Square Park: EAB Tree tagging at the Great Pumpkin Fest at 10 a.m.
Oct. 6: Washington Boulevard at Fifth Avenue
Oct. 13: East Seventh at Lawrence Street
Oswego Tree Stewards cancellation policy: Due to rain or temperatures below 50°F.
If you have questions you may call Phil MacArthur 532-0909 cell.
