Oswego, NY – Meghan Wells has joined Oswego-based marketing communications firm Step One Creative as a public relations intern, according to the agency’s president, Shane R. Stepien.
Wells is a graduate of SUNY Oswego with a degree in public relations, and minor in business administration. She also has a Travel and Tourism: Hospitality/Events Management degree from Herkimer County Community College.
“I believe the internship with Step One Creative will prove to be beneficial by learning the necessary tools of the PR trade, while also having the opportunity to learn more about marketing and advertising,” said Wells. “I am excited to integrate my previous knowledge from SUNY Oswego with new experiences through the internship, and become better prepared for a job in my field.”
Within the internship, Meghan will be working on client projects specific to the public relations field, including news releases, general copywriting, and social media initiatives.
“It is always exciting to bring new interns aboard and give them an opportunity to work hands-on with projects,” said Stepien. “It’s a great learning experience that I know Meghan will benefit from, and help her prepare for her career in public relations going forward.”
