Dear Editor
There is no doubt that this has certainly been a disappointing year politically.
The in-fighting in Albany was at an extreme. Our representatives both Democrats and Republicans on the state and national levels have been more focused on partisan politics than on the business of the people.
The time has come to take the politics out of government. We don’t have time to waste, so let’s choose candidates who will work toward a solid future not just party politics as usual.
We need strong leadership and vision to guide us and make decisions that will ensure a sound future.
As a resident of the Oswego County 15th District, I will cast my vote for Mercedes Niess, Independent candidate on the “Time for Change†line.
She will focus on what is in the best interest of Oswego County residents.
She is a non-partisan candidate who works well with all parties.
She has the experience we need, proven leadership skills and a vision for county.
I would like to encourage my fellow 15th district neighbors to cast their vote for Mercedes Niess, who will genuinely work for the betterment of our community.

As a resident of the 15th District, I’ve carefully considered all the candidates and situation we’re in here in NYS and the county. On Tuesday, I’ll be voting for the one who obviously, clearly understands the lives and concerns of regular folks like me. That candidate is Jake Mulcahey.
